Planning & Design

Over the years we have designed numerous gardens from RHS medal winning show gardens, to small town gardens, to large country gardens and everything in between.

Our focus is always on you, and what you want from your garden. So that when we leave, you are left with an outside space that you can enjoy and be proud of. Experience has shown that by listening closely to our clients and understanding how you intend to use your garden we can work together to create a garden that perfectly meets your needs.

Initial Meeting

We will come out to visit you at home to look at your garden and discuss your needs and desires for your outside space. From this meeting a Client Brief will be created and a costing provided for the design of your garden.

Survey

Depending on the size of your garden either we will complete a survey, or for larger gardens, arrange for a garden survey to be completed by a Land Surveyor. We will also spend time getting to know your garden, taking photos and gathering the information we need before we can start putting our ideas on paper.

Initial Plans

Once we have had a chance to get our ideas on paper and draw out our initial plans we arrange for a meeting with you to go through our designs for your garden. At this meeting we always aim to give you at least two different designs for your garden, as this gives us an opportunity to complete one design to your brief and one design of other opportunities that could be included in your garden. We often find that clients like ideas from both of the initial designs and that we incorporate these ideas together to create the final design.

‘We are very pleased indeed with the result and with the speed that the work was completed. Thank you very much indeed for a job well done.’

D. Howarth, Chipping Norton

Final Design

Working from our discussions at the previous meeting, we then put together all of the comments and implement them onto the plans to create the final design. We would then meet to check that you are happy that any changes have been implemented and so that you can sign off the design for your garden.

Planting Plan

In any garden it is very important that both the hard landscaping and the soft landscaping complement each other. Continuing on from our discussions, we create a planting plan that achieves this balance. We will take into account your personal preferences and ensure that the planting within the garden meets your needs and complements your outside space.

Building Specification

A Building Specification is created so that a final costing can be completed for the garden build.

‘The garden looks absolutely wonderful – I’m really, really pleased with it and enjoying being in it already even though it is only just finished.’

Elaine, Cheltenham
